Weekend away & some biking

This weekend we went up "north" to my father-in-law’s cabin in Mountain .  Today we got to take some tire tubs down the Oconto Rivier , it was a 30 minute ride and very relaxing. Got a chance to go for a bike ride with the boys twice both lasting just over 2 miles.  So no record times on the bike but a nice ride with the boys.  We also started a 1000 piece puzzle last night and finished it this morning.

A Bike Rack

Here are some pictures of the bike rack that I made for my kids bikes.  When you have 6 or 7 bikes allways laying in the garage it is time to do something.  Not bad for under $20, using some existing wood that I had. If I would have purchased all the wood I am sure it would have been less than $30.  Hopefully soon I will make some time to describe how we designed the bike racks.  a-bike-rack-1 a-bike-rack-2 a-bike-rack-3 a-bike-rack-4

Welcome Nathan Christopher

Congratulations to some close friends on the birth of there first son.  Nathan Christopher was born on January 11th, 2007 at 10:27 PM.  My wife and I would find Nathan ‘premature’ since our kids come into the world as toddlers.  Nathan was 6lb, 14oz, 19.5 inches long with lots of hair.

Congrats Brandon & Allison

Five things you may not have known about me

Now I have been tagged, not once but twice.
  1. Wrestled for 5 years, 8th grade and through high school. I still have the shirt that reads: boys play basketball girls play volleyball men wrestle
  2. Collected baseball cards, and have way to many.
  3. Bought my first car when I was 16, ’81 Pontiac Grand Prix. Paid cash!!! Maybe some pictures some day.
  4. I enjoy playing volleyball, which I have to do now. No, I am not a girl (see above)
  5. I really enjoy doing puzzles. The hardest one I have is a double sided 101 Dalmatians.
ow is the fun part, I get to tag some people: Ben, Craig, Johan, Chris, and Chris.

Josh’s first broken bone

Tonight we had to bring Joshua to the emergency room to get his shoulder checked out. It ended up to be just a broken collar bone. After 2.5 hours of waiting we got an X-ray and a figure 8 brace and a bill of a couple hundred dollars. We are back home and Josh is doing well. Thank you God for creating a body that can heal itself.
