Hi everyone!!!

Today was my first day in my new world and my dad asked me to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Carly Jo Schelfhout and my mother forced me into this world at 3:11 PM. It is much brighter and louder than what I am use to. :( I really like it though! My mommy and daddy have been very nice, they are always getting rid of that smell but I miss being wet and moist. My mommy wanted to make sure that I always had something to brag about to my brothers so she made me bigger!!! I was 10lb 3oz and my other brothers were 10lb 2oz and 10lb 1oz. The twins have a little disadvantage because they had to share mommy’s belly so they were 7lb 13oz and 8lb 4oz. I am also 22in long but don’t remember how long my brothers where. It does not really matter because I am the biggest!!!! I have not seen outside of our home yet because I was born where I was conceived, it is nice to be home. My mommy is awesome because she is feeding me and doing very well. Thanks daddy for everything so far. Thanks Calvin, Ezra, Josh, and Jared for welcoming me into your family. Almost forgot, thank you Jesus for creating me. Love, Carly

A Poll and BlogSphere Testing

I need some help in two areas:  a poll that I am interested in seeing the results and some testing.  If you take the poll then you will be helping me with my testing.  So please take the poll about how you wife/girlfriend likes to receive flowers.  My wife is the large number and less frequent. which means a couple of times a year.  Any feed back on the testing is always greatly appreciated.

Home Fireworks of 2006

Yes, Bruce was correct the economy is doing good, but not great because we had to share the cost with another family.  This did allow us to get a few more fireworks and have it last a little longer.  There are 19 launchers below.  We loaded them 5 times and once with some roman candles(see last picture).  The last time we connected the fuses with the second picture for the grand finally.  The last picture was the after effects.

Dad's Daughter

No Greater Joy‘s March magazine just came in the mail and I usually read some of the articles, my wife reads it from cover to cover.  She was really intrigued by the "Dad’s Daughter" article.  As I read the article I started applying it to my own boys since I do not have any girls, yet!  Michael Pearl says

Raising daughters is not a good business deal. You make a twenty-year investment and then just up and give the whole thing away to an inexperienced boy who doesn

Merry Christmas

I pray that everyone had a Merry Christmas.  This was the year of electronics, now that my boys are getting a little older (9,7,4,4) the need for electronic toys has arrived.  Ezra, 7, got a Play TV Football .  Calvin, got his own CD of Toby Mac so he also received a CD player also.  Josh & Jared received a Monster Tumbler, they are actually kind of cool because the wheels line up.

Gary, I beat you!!!!

Sad but Happy

Received a phone call from a close friends Jason & Vicki this morning. Vicki called to inform us that they where in an accident last night. Their van was hit by a truck driver and their daughter Katie Love was killed but is now in heaven. She was thrown from their van during the accident. Sorry for not getting into all the detail but if you could keep them in your prayers during this time. Can you imagine loosing a son or daughter at the age of 2?

No colored thumbs, but applesauce

I have had purple thumbs and green thumbs. What colored thumbs does a person have when cutting apples to make applesauce? Tonight my four boys and I cut Gaja apples to make applesauce. The twins are 4.5 had the task of twisting off the stems and cleaning up the peals and cores. Ezra, almost 7, had the task of cutting up the apples into small pieces so they cook faster. Later in the night he started to peal the apples. At first he said he could not do it, but after some coaching he said, “Dad that is how you do it, that is much easier”. Calvin, 8.5 got to peal apples all night and at the most peals. In the end they all enjoyed the rewards of fresh hot applesauce.
