This afternoon my twin boys (6) and I made some Carmel Popcorn for our church’s Wednesday night program. This year my wife is heading up the worship for kids 12 and younger and I do the activity part of the night. Tonight will be a little different, being the last night be for Christmas. We will be having some activities, games, making a card to send over sees, and having Carmel Popcorn!!!!! So my gift to everyone is the receipt for making Carmel Popcorn.

16	cups	yellow popcorn (don’t use white and I use about 18-20 cups)
1	cup	brown sugar
1/2	teaspoon	baking powder
1/2	teaspoon	salt
1/4	cup	light corn syrup
1/2	cup	butter
1	teaspoon	vanilla

Place popcorn into a brown grocery bag. Microwave all ingredients (minus popcorn), on high for 2 minutes or until bubbly. 3 times for 1 minute each stirring in between, stir well. Pour over popcorn, fold down the bag then shake. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then shake. 2 times for 30 seconds shaking each time. Dump on 2 cookie sheets let cool and break apart.
