I’m European, I do not hate anybody from America as I don not either from Oceania, Asia, Africa. Maybe the (not so) Silent Republican has some problems with other Americans too, that do not share his opinions. As a lot of pepole in the United States do.
Sometimes seems that this kind of “Ever Hated Americans” consider Americans only people from USA, forgetting that “Americia Terra” extends from the north pole to the south one. So that people from Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and China and a lot of countries more are “Americans” too. Even people that was in America a lot of time before that was discovered from a man from my country.
Maybe “Silents Americans” have to share their opinions with people in Chile or in Argentina, asking them about what happened a few years ago in their countries.
Anyway, we in Europe, have our thougths about put to death people on the electic chair, owning guns, “exporting democracy” and so on.
Mr. “Silent Republican” is right when he says that we had powerful empires and cultural centers. And a lot of time they was ready to combat bloody wars or to stretch pepole with inique laws. I hope that you would recognize the same moral right to defend from your “way of life” as the USA did from ours at the time of the Revolution.
In ancient times, Roma destroyed some rebel cities. But was 2500 years ago. The Pope asks to be forgiven for all the inquities that Roman Church did.
The USA continue to state that ending the II WW with the H Bomb completely destroying two cities was an act of mercy…
Luckily, that’s not all the “America” we recognized as our guide for progress.
