Yes, it is only available with names fields as Alan Lepofsky states in Right click menu on name fields.  There is an option to show the online status Selecting the “Show online status” will add “Chat with…” and “Add to Instant Contact list…”. What I found interesting is the difference of the menu options when in edit mode. Why should I not be able to “Create memo to..” or “Invite to Meeting…”. What is even more interesting is the order of “Cut, Copy, Paste”. OK, they might be used more when in edit mode but consistency has more weight in my eyes.
